Our Covid Response

Resilience and well-being programmes for children and youth

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, CMCA has adapted and developed new programmes that focus on resilience and well-being, staying safe and following Covid guidelines, and giving children and youth emotional support to help them cope with these uncertain times. With online Zoom classrooms and resources, we reached over 45,000+ students in 20-21 alone. We continue to engage with them meaningfully.

Back to School

Children returning to school and those who will be enrolling afresh need support to get into the rhythm of school. Children may have experienced illness, loss and displacement. Even for those who may not have experienced trauma, the fear of the ongoing pandemic could be there. Some students might have settled into online learning, and some from poor families might be returning to learning after being completely cut off. Children are likely to have a mix of emotions – relief, excitement, worry, anxiety, fear and happiness.

Our Back-to-School programme gives the teacher a kit comprising of brief 15 minute before class materials - activities, energisers, calmers, games, stories, etc to help children thrive in school. The programme focusses on ways to adapt to the school-settings with COVID guidelines, tips to get back into the routine of study, emotional well-being of students and enabling children to be caring and active citizens.
