What Makes Me an Indian?

CMCA believes that children are born citizens, and must imbibe the values of our constitution in order for India to reach its potential. This video explores children’s ideas on what it is to be an Indian in the words of the school children themselves. CMCA’s citizenship and life skills programmes running in schools across India help to develop and strengthen democratic and citizenship values.

Immersive Citizenship Education

Our Cause

Transforming the young into concerned, thinking, active citizens

We are working towards building a nation of concerned, thinking and active citizens. Citizens who are sensitive to the issues facing India. Citizens who participate in the democracy that was established for them. Citizens who work to enhance the quality of life and well-being in their communities and promote equity in all aspects. Citizens who spark change.

What We Do

We provide experiential citizenship and life skills education to school students and youth in India.

CMCA is transforming children and young people into active citizens for an inclusive and sustainable India. Our research-backed curriculum is taught in schools, colleges, and rural libraries, reaching over 80,000 students across the country. CMCA has been active since 2000 and is run by a team of passionate crusaders for a more democratic society, hand in hand with a support system of volunteers, donors, governments, partners, and more.
